A veneer is a shell made of tooth-colored material, custom-made for each tooth, and bonded to the tooth to restore it to its original state.

Veneers are designed to look like natural teeth and can fix several different problems:

Veneers are available in the choice of two materials. Patient budget and desired function will help determine which option is best for you.

Porcelain is strong, harder to stain, and last a long time. Less tooth enamel removal is required when using porcelain veneers than with a cap or crown.

Composite resin is more economical and still fully able to match the original tooth color. It also requires fewer dentist visits to be applied (usually just one). While not as strong as the porcelain veneers, they are also easier to fix if they do become damaged.
